Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella make up 85% of the blend with the remaining 15% composed of other unspecified local varietals. The grapes raisinate for about 100 days and after fermenting in stainless steel the wine matures in wood for 36 month and then ages for at least 24 months in the bottle.

The aroma has intense, deep and concentrated scents of prune and black cherry wrapped in balsamic, spice and tobacco notes. The wine has a strong personality and in the mouth is nervous, almost edgy, before slowly becoming soft and wrapping, winning over and surprising the palate little by little.
