Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella make up 85% of the blend with the remaining 15% composed of other unspecified local varietals. The grapes are harvested at different times, to ensure they reach the right ripeness, after which they dry for 120-150 days. The wine matures in wood for around 36 days and then ages for at least a year in the bottle.

The aroma is of red fruit jam, cherry, black cherry and currant with notes of sweet spice, vanilla and coffee. The mouthfeel has a magnificent balance between the sweetness and balance and is wrapping, soft and persistent.
