Simon di Brazzan

Friulano from Daniele Drius' Simon di Brazzan winery has a part completely macerated for almost one month. The rest is divided between steel and wood.

It is Daniele Drius who runs Simon's winery in Brazzan, until recently managed by his grandfather Enrico Veliscig, who died at the age of 103. Daniele writes on some labels: "Four are the factors that determine the quality of wine: EARTH expresses the intimate essence, VINE represents the potential quality, CLIMATE brings variability and MAN with passion realizes excellence".

There are 14 hectares of certified organic and biodynamic vineyards for a total of 90,000 bottles (70 of the top line and 20 of the second line). The vineyards are scattered between Collio and the high plain of Isonzo, rich in minerals.

14 thousand are the bottles of this Friulano. The yields in the vineyard are very low and the grapes are harvested when fully ripe. Most of them, after a night in contact with skins, are vinified in steel tanks and in French and Slavonian oak barrels of medium capacity, while a part is completely macerated for 20-25 days.
