A blend of 40% Pinot Meunier, 15% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, of which 16% fermented on the skins, while 30% is composed of reserve wines. After aging three years on the lees, the wine was given a sugar dosage of 60g/liter. Veuve Clicquot Rich Rosé should be served in a large, broad glass with five ice cubes and the ingredients of your choice, my favorite is lime. The ice lightens the body which otherwise would seem excessively rich and too sweet. The bouquet is of currant and fresh raspberry with notes of red apple and crispy strawberry together with a citrus streak exalted by lime peel. The mouthfeel is fresh and agile and the mix balances the sweetness making this a fruity and a lively drop. The most fun part of ‘Clicquology’ is experimenting with the ingredients according to your own tastes and preferences.
