This is a vintage that was overrated by the Americans. Its aroma ranges from notes of lychees, yellow peach and red jam with a sensation of leather to recall its aging. The wine remains a miracle given that many Brunello from this year have lost their appeal. The mouthfeel is decidedly thick and bold with an excellent progression more centered on is muscles than refined beauty. The finish is compact with a hint of almond.
