An opposite season to the extremely hot and dry 2017 with abundant spring rains that helped vines recover from the damage done the previous year. Autumn was dry and long which contributed to the ripening and complexity of the grapes.
59% Cabernet Franc and 41% Merlot. Matured for 12 months in barriques, some new. A less-concentrated yet bright ruby color. The bouquet has a significant attack and persistence with notes of graphite, citron and black and red berries, while a smoky hint adds complexity with light spice sensations. The fresh, compact and balanced mouthfeel has refined tannins and an unexpected salinity making the wine very drinkable. The juicy finish is intense and very persistent, Beautiful.
