Made from Sangiovese grown in the Politi vineyard that sits at an altitude of 350m above sea level and has a yield of 4.500kg per hectare. The wine macerates long in stainless steel vats and then matures in barriques that have been used two and three times for around 16 months. It has a dark, ruby color and a clear, austere and spicy aroma with some nice red fruit. The full-bodied mouthfeel has a nice freshness with tannins that are noticeable but are not excessive. This lacks just a tad more to achieve excellence.
