A year with an abundant harvest that nevertheless produced some great wines. The season was hot but interrupted with intermittent summer storms which allowed the grapes to reach full maturity, even if the grapes were larger than normal due to the exceptional blossoming. More than just pruning, the season forced a reduction in the size of the bunches by cutting off the wings and points. The harvest was late, October 10-15.

The color is a lucent garnet with incredible, almost fuchsia reflections. The aroma has notes of leather, oak, gentian, slate and violet. The mouthfeel has tasty tannin, a strong salinity and mentholated tones. This has everything and the finish is refreshing and seems to levitate.
