Langhe Nebbiolo 2016

The transparent, ruby color has a garnet edge and the aroma is fresh, very fragrant and precise with notes of violet and mint. The mouthfeel has a medium body, tannins that are as coarse as they should be but not too drying, a factor that can be a limitation for Roero Nebbiolo, and the finish is fresh, direct and balsamic with flavorful tannins. This is a wine with great aromatic purity and that is impeccably dynamic. The temptation is to drink it right away but Nebbiolo is an odd yet sublime varietal and it could very well be that it will improve in the bottle over time.
