A blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso that is produced in very limited quantity making it an authentic vin de garage given only a little over 1,000 bottles were made. Its consistent and intense red color is almost impenetrable and has distinct garnet notes to it. This vintage was given a super-high rating by Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate which praised its boldness and concentration. Today its aroma still has fruity notes together with those of leather with hints of vanilla and underbrush, while the mouthfeel is soft, rounded and broad with a great consistency.
