Made from only Bianchello grapes, the wine ages on the lees for nine-ten months and then for at least six months in the bottle, which has a screw cap. To describe this vintage I could copy the previous review word for word were it not for the fact that 2012 was decidedly a better year. The weather being warmer, the notes are bolder but lose nothing and, in fact, the wine gains in regard to persistence and flavor-aroma. This is easily paired with zuppa bombolini al finocchietto selvatico (sea snail soup with wild fennel) or even the brodetto (light broth) that is usually accompanied by more famous Verdicchio wines. Annual production: 6,000 bottles.
