A bold, golden-yellow color with only a petillant (fizzy) effervescence that disappears after a few seconds in the glass. The aromas are those of apple jam, sweet Viadana mostarda and custard. The mouthfeel is surprisingly fresh and still lively to drink. The wine was disgorged relatively recently (2012) after spending almost 40 years on the lees.
