A shiny, black color and almost overripe aromas (prune purée like an Amarone) with a mouthfeel (after a ‘waxy’ attack) that makes it a wine with an absolute, abyssal concentration. Under the level of fruit and tannins is some impressive saline sensations. The impression is that this is a cru of great distinction. The estate’s style calls for a slightly delayed harvest. This has 30 years ahead of it and if you like explosive wines add a couple of points to our evaluation.
