Made from botrytized Semillon gapes, this is probably one of the best (and rarest) Italian wines I have ever been lucky to taste. This was an historic vintage for the estate and saw around 600 half-bottles produced of this nectar with its phenomenal balance, elegance and depth. It has a concentrated, golden-yellow color with delicate amber reflections and an explosive aroma of spice, raisins, saffron and turmeric. With breathing come out notes of sweet tobacco and chestnut jam. The mouthfeel is sumptuous, very fresh, bold yet harmonious making this a wine that can compete with a great Sauternes. *375ml bottles.
