Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Beerenauslese 2010

Despite its classification, the structure makes this seem like a great Auslese. The wine has a relatively bold yellow color with aromas of candied fruit and quince apple. Although the minerality is pronounced, the tones are suffused and elegant. The attack of the mouthfeel is sweet but not sickly so with the sugar nicely balanced by a distinct yet non-invasive acidity. Balances at this level are fundamental. The length is good but not exceptional.
