The weather in the spring was dodgy while the hot summer had the right amount of rain to allow the grapes to obtain a sugar concentration perfect for drying. The garnet color has terracotta and orange reflections. This was the wine that won the gold medal in Bordeaux and thus has an appeal that goes beyond its current state. The bouquet has evolved notes of dried flowers in a potpourri, sour cherries preserved in alcohol, tamarind and oriental spices with hints of cedar. The fine mouthfeel is harmonious and balanced with balsamic notes of eucalyptus and a rounded and delicately flavored aftertaste.
