Monte di Grazia, dove si incontrano Vesuvio e Costiera Amalfitana

Centuries-old and ungrafted vines with ancient and rare varietals trained on Tramonti pergola, this is what makes Monte di Grazia and its white wine unforgettable.

The Monte di Grazia vineyard - situated among the Monti Lattari hills that surround Tramonti – has lent its name to a wine and the winery that produces it. The centuries-old and ungrafted vines there have been saved from extinction and are quite large and grow on the slopes of the Amalfi Coast in a volcanic soil created by the last eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. The 2.7 hectares of vineyards have been trained using the Tramonti pergola method and have been are organically cultivated since 1997. The climate is typical of the Mediterranean basin and is influenced by the southwest Libeccio wind and the sharp temperature differences between day and night.

All this produces extreme wines that are certainly not ‘trendy’ and become soft (at least with the reds) only through long aging. Drinking Monte di Grazia wines is like navigating with your senses along Mediterranean routes in discovery of the typicity of ancient and rare varietals.
