The fresh Trebbiano Spoletino from Bocale
Bocale is a small but well-equipped estate that works in a very serious way and turns out one of the best Trebbiano Spoletino in its appellation.
The Bocale estate – which the Valentini family has dubbed “historic” – is already know for it red wines, above all their Sagrantino di Montefalco which is one of the best in its appellation. This family estate has two generations efficiently managing the winery and vineyards without contrasts and in total harmony. The outside consultancy of enologist Emiliano Falsini completes the productive team.
Were we in California, these would be considered “garage wines” (the famous vins de garage) and they would be very expensive. Instead, Bocale wines are affordable with an excellent quality/price ratio and made in a small but well-equipped winery.
