The Maschitano Rosso by Musto Carmelitano

The Maschitano Rosso is the Aglianico del Vulture "entry level" by Elisabetta Musto Carmelitano, produced from the younger vineyards, an exhuberant and easy to drink wine. 

Although new, this tiny winery has attracted the attention of wine lovers thanks to the sober and elegant style of its products. It is run by a young woman, Elisabetta Musto Carmelitano, who with determination and talent has created her own personal interpretation of Aglianico del Vulture without relying on too much texture or super-ripe grapes.

The production includes two Aglianico del Vulture single vineyard, Serra del Prete and Pian del Moro (this one aged in wood), plus Etichetta Bianca without solfites, only produced in the best years. The line Maschitano includes Basilicata Bianco and Rosato IGT and this Aglianico del Vulture with a very good quality/price ratio.
