La Pettegola dressed up to celebrate

The bottle of this fifth vintage of La Pettegola, a limited edition, is wrapped with an unusual illustration as its label. But packaging aside, this vintage 2017 is wine to drink.
Not everyone will be lucky to see the costume created to celebrate the five years since the first harvest of La Pettegola (The Gossip), a Vermentino from Banfi that in this short period of time has won over so many hearts. This because only 20,000 bottles are available worldwide of this limited edition created to celebrate this milestone (and total number produced: 250,000) as well as the winery’s 40th anniversary.
The illustration specifically created for the occasion is the work of Pesaro artist Alessandro Baronciani and completely wraps the bottle while leaving the original label intact. The bottle is covered in overlapping leaves to create the illusion of an impenetrable forest but through it you can see the face of a girl who appears to be looking at whoever opens the bottle.
While the covering may be different, the wine in the bottle remains the same and this 2017 is in dazzling form.
