La Lastra, una moderna interpretazione della Vernaccia

This estate makes a very particular Vernaccia, the product of the exposure and soil the grapes grown in. The vineyards are at a slightly higher altitude in an extremely hard and poor terrain, dominated by a wall of alberese limestone (lastra being slab). The grapes are sharp and the estate exploits this by making wines which have a great capacity to age and have a very distinct acidity and mineral salinity.
