Il Cavaliere: olive oil and teaching

A new project in the Salò area to recover old abandoned olive trees and help the young people find a new profession. 

Il Cavaliere is a very young project (started in 2014) created by Massimiliano Basile and Simone Bonzanini in the Salò area to recover abandoned olive trees. Further more recovering olive trees the project involves the teaching on the olive growing techniques to the young people that are looking for a job or that come from difficult family situations, a school that is EU certified. 

Now the company has 4-hectare olive grove with 800 trees of the cultivars Casaliva and Leccino. In the last harvest 80 quintals of olives and 12 hectoliters of extra virgin olive oil were produced.
