The Ascolana Tenera by Montecappone

The Montecappone farm in Marche region, well known for its Verdicchio, produces also marvellous EVO oils, among which an elegant Ascolana Tenera.
Montecappone in Jesi is a wine-growing farm that has been producing Verdicchio since the end of the 60s. More recently the large estate has been taken over and completely reorganized by the family Bomprezzi-Mirizzi, who have decided to produce extra virgin olive oil besides wine.
They have 12 hectares of olive grove with 5,000 trees, which produced 500 quintals of olives in the last harvest, equal to 60 hectolitres of oil. The production includes three monocultivar (single variety) EVO oils: Leccino, Frantoio and Ascolana Tenera, the latter being typical of the Marche hills.
