I vigneti di Mr. Rupert (4): Terra del Capo

Johann Rupert has been playfully accused by Platter’s Guide, the most authoritative wine publication in South Africa, of being an ‘Italophile’. This because in his vast production he has included wines that were inspired by Italian ones. These wines are those in the Terra del Capo line, the name written in Italian, and include three types: a Pinot Grigio, which while not originally Italian has become so; a Sangiovese; and Arné, a mostly Sangiovese blend with 20% Merlot which is intended to be a South African version of a Super Tuscan.

NB: the price are those that can be found online.
