The small vineyard Ventitréfilari

Four cousins who are also friends came together to produce a wine in Irpinia in honor of their Grandfather Alfonso who planted the small vineyard Ventritréfilari.
Ventritré (23) is the number of vine rows that produce the grapes for this Fiano di Avellino DOCG Numero Uno. The winery – owned by the De Benedetto and Puorro families – is in the town of Montefredane, in the heart of Irpinia. The Ventitré vineyard is about a hectare in size and was left by Grandfather Alfonso, born in 1923, to his four grandchildren.
Benefiting from the consultancy of enologist Carmine Valentino, the four young cousins carried on their grandfather’s work focusing their efforts on quality but without losing sight of typicity. The result is an intriguing wine born from the small vineyard where everything began.
