Adele’s tenacity

One of a woman’s leadership qualities is the determination she shows in transforming challenges into opportunities, together with a desire to reinvent the rules and ability to ‘sell’ her vision of things. The women of Irpinia also appear to have an unusual sense of duty
An example of this is Adele Romana, the owner of the Amarano estate, who in order to get in a vineyard in one of the most beautiful areas in Montemarano pushed her father all the way to Philadelphia to convince the owner, who had moved there years before, to sell the land.
Adele embarked in her wine adventure in 2004 with the assistance of enologist Carmine Valentino and quickly accumulated an important fan base. She has seven hectares of vineyards harmoniously set in the surrounding landscape. From this she produces three red wines - in primis a Taurasi – and three white wines, all made with indigenous grapes.
