Made from Verdicchio, half of which was picked early and matured in stainless steel, while the other half was picked when the grapes were very ripe with the wine maturing in cement vats. Marconi is a point of reference for Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, a super-colorful and fragrant red produced between Jesi and Senigallia. The area of Lacrima is also that of Verdicchio which here is always open and communicative, ideal for those who do not like muzzled whites. Istinto 2017 has smoky aromas and has a mouthfeel that plays on the contrast between the salt and the smoky and flora notes. It is a bit “squared” but has personality to burn. Pair it with a top vegetarian meal.
