La Luna e i Falò 2005

Weather-wise a relatively normal year except for rains continually interrupting picking. Thus the harvest was late, the acidity was high and yield low. Here again the garnet-red color leans towards black, while the aromas are those of dried fruit, dried figs with chocolate. The flavor makes it clear the wine had gone off, with a dry mouthfeel without any fruit or the usual complexity of a class Barbera.
