Benvenuto Brunello 2022

Nine days of tastings with 137 Brunello wineries and more than 300 different wine labels. The podium for notoriety in Italy. The commemorative tile for the 2022 vintage. The Leccio d'Oro award for the businesses that give the most space to Brunello di Montalcino and the Gambelli Award for the young winemaker who most espoused the style of the great master of Sangiovese.

The first weekend of Benvenuto Brunello, the preview presentation of the new vintages-the Brunello 2018, the Riserva 2017, the Rosso di Montalcino 2021, the Moscadello and the Sant'Antimo-which this year becomes cosmopolitan, with an edition on November 17 held simultaneously in London, Los Angeles, New York and Toronto, has concluded.

The first two days of the preview proposed by the Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino, Benvenuto Brunello, on Friday 10 and Saturday 11, were dedicated to about 100 Italian and international journalists, as well as 11 Masters of Wine. On the following days, space was given to sommeliers, trade professionals and winelovers (for wine lovers there are three dedicated days, from November 19 to 21).

On Saturday afternoon, starting at 5 p.m. at the Teatro degli Astrusi, the winners of the Leccio d'Oro and Giulio Gambelli Awards were unveiled, as well as the commemorative tile for the 2022 vintage. This was followed by a gala dinner by Michelin-starred chef Valeria Piccini of Caino restaurant in Montemerano.
