Presented the first map of Terre di Pisa

On the map 120 places and attractions and 343 members of "Terre di Pisa". Partner of the initiative the Wine Route of the Pisan Hills.
Presented last Tuesday 17, at the Chamber of Commerce of Pisa, the "Map of the Lands of Pisa". It is a map, in scale 1:100,000 in color, on which for the first time are indicated 120 different attractions (the wine road and the oil road, monuments, churches, museums, palaces, villas, fortresses, archaeological sites, parks and nature reserves, etc.) and more than 340 members of the Terre di Pisa: wineries, shops, artisans, truffle hunters, pasta makers, accommodation facilities, restaurants, tourist guides, sports activities, tourist agencies and many others. This list is constantly growing and will certainly need to be updated for the next edition of the map, which will soon see a digital version.
The Map is designed to give the tourist visiting this corner of Tuscany a paper tool useful to create a personalized route: an option that, in a time when internet and frenzy are the masters, is increasingly sought after by the target of visitors to the "Lands of Pisa". A map that wants to meet slow tourists who are increasingly discovering or rediscovering places, people and culture of the territories: from those looking for attractions not found online to those who want to build a route surrounded by nature, from art and culture lovers to those who are more interested in food and wine and handicrafts. A map that, among other things, can be combined with the various itineraries packaged together with the operators and already present on the website www.terredipisa.it, very useful, then, to transfer "on paper" your trip and, perhaps, discover that just beyond there is an attraction to visit or a producer to meet.
"This map - says the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Pisa, Valter Tamburini - represents a further step to put together and promote the beauty and the operators of the "Terre di Pisa". The idea was to create a tool designed for all those who decide to study a place, in depth, thanks to a map of a certain consistency. It does not matter if it is a paper document, even if a digital version will be realized soon. In fact, we believe that the things that are useful, beautiful to see and touch each other are destined to be appreciated by attentive visitors who love and will love our Terre di Pisa".
The Wine Route of the Pisan Hills has made an active contribution to the creation of the Map: the association that involves companies and local authorities for the enhancement and promotion of the territory and the excellent products of the Pisan hills. "We are very happy - comments the President of the Wine Route of the Pisan Hills, Andrea Acciai - as a partner of Terre di Pisa, to have contributed to the creation of the map by further expanding the relationship with the Chamber of Commerce, which is already giving significant results according to the objective of developing food and wine tourism in the area. We believe that the map is a fundamental tool to promote the knowledge of the excellence of Terre di Pisa with regard to an increasingly vast and qualified tourism. In this sense we will undertake, also through our associates, to disseminate the map in companies or during the numerous events in which we participate both locally and nationally. Above all, we will try to develop all the projects able to activate financial resources that allow us to update and improve this communication tool both in paper and computerized form".
The map, printed for the moment in 5 thousand copies, has been produced by the Carmi e Ubertis Agency in collaboration with Webmapp, a company that produces maps for nature tourism and outdoor activities.
