Donation from GIV to the University Hospital of Verona
Gruppo Italiano Vini donates 100,000 euros to support the Integrated University Hospital of Verona for the Coronavirus health emergency.
Gruppo Italiano Vini has intervened in support of the health emergency that has hit Italy by acting directly on the territory of Verona, where the Group has its headquarters and three wineries owned by the Group, donating 100,000 euros to the "Coronavirus Emergency Fund" of the Integrated University Hospital that groups the hospitals of Borgo Roma and Borgo Trento.
Verona is one of the provinces of Veneto affected by the virus where cases are unfortunately numerous and here, as in the rest of the country, the medical and nursing staff is strongly engaged in the front line asking only to have the necessary tools to save patients' lives. The amount paid by the Group will be used to purchase the equipment required by the departments involved in the emergency.
The GIV is not the only reality in the wine world to have decided to give a positive signal so that we can get out of this emergency phase soon and allow the whole country to leave again. Assoenologi is also moving in this direction.
