Best quality/price wines 2024

There are 560 wines in the pages of the guide that have the "thumbs up," that is, our symbol for good value for money. Among them, we have chosen the 10 that have the best quality/price ratio.

To make this final ranking of the 10 wines with the best value for money, that is, wines to buy to drink well at very affordable prices, we selected those that had a score above 90/100 and cost within 8.50 euros. For reasons that are easy to understand, they are all wines from the latest vintage, 2022.

Our champion proves to be the Erbaluce di Caluso Fior di Ghiaccio 2022 Cantina Produttori Erbaluce di Caluso, a Piedmontese white of ancient tradition, little considered outside the region. It reports an excellent tasting score (93/100) and costs decidedly little: € 6 (to be precise, on the winery shop you can find it for € 5.90). A very fruity, broad and fresh wine.

Then we have, in second place, a wine from the Marche region, a Bianchello del Metauro, accompanied further down the list by another from the Marche region, a Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. Then there are two from Abruzzo, a Trebbiano and a Montepulciano, followed by other wines-all DOC-from Friuli, Umbria, Veneto, Campania and Trentino. Only two are reds, for the rest we must note if you do not want to spend a lot, but do not want to give up quality, it is easier to drink white.
