Osteria a Priori - Umbria over all

Perugia is a bit university town, a bit white collar professional and a bit touristy. Actually, you’d think there would be more tourists given the extraordinary beauty of the historic enter but then again nearby Assisi offers some strong competition.
Perugia is all this and more as well as being an authentically aristocratic city. It is also a great town for food lovers thanks to a place just off the beaten track of Corso Vannucci and away from no few traps geared for the unsuspecting tourist.
Osteria a Priori focuses its attention on wine and food from Umbria, offering only regional products including a selection of olive oils that favors small, local producers. There are also some craft beers from Umbria and everything offered is the best you can find. The result of this provincial combination, however, is cosmopolitan thanks to its operator Alessandro Casciola, who has a vast experience in the promotion and hospitality sectors.
The clientele of tourists (only the better informed), students and local professionals create a relaxed and cultured atmosphere.
An aperitif will run you 6 euros, dinner 24 euros and at lunch there is a vast array of stuffed pastas.
The staff has all the courtesy and competence you could want.
