Fonte de' Medici is an old village dating back to the fifteenth century, located in the heart of Chianti Classico and immersed in the vineyards owned by the Antinori family, winemakers for 26 generations over the past 600 years, who produce in this area some of their most iconic and renowned wines: Tignanello and Solaia. The village takes its name from a fresh water spring, which once served as a resting spot for pilgrims on their way from Florence to Rome. The nearby Badia a Passignano was a powerful Vallombrosian monastery at the time and bears witness to the historic importance of this area.

The proximity of both Florence and Siena, the beauty of the Chianti countryside, the excellence of local food and wine, the refined decor and the utmost care to hospitality; all this makes Fonte de’ Medici a unique place.

Characterized by an informal and welcoming atmosphere, at Trattoria della Fonte guests can find a wide selection of dishes from the Tuscan culinary tradition; simple but, at the same time, full of flavor. 

In the kitchen, only local and seasonal ingredients are allowed, accompanied by a wide selection of wines from the Antinori estate, which will provide the most suitable pairing to perfectly enhance each dish.
