Faccino 98-99-100 guida 2020 diploma

We have now reached the very top where we find the absolute best Italians wines for the upcoming season that will, needless to say, remain great in years to come.

We are at the top of our pyramid. As editor-in-chief Daniele Cernilli wrote in his editorial on Monday, we wanted these wines – which represent the best of the best of Italian production that will be on the market this season – to stand out even more. Thus came the idea to award two DoctorWine seals to the wines with a 98/100 rating and three seals to those with 99 and 100-point ratings. While it is true that our quality pyramid existed already thanks to our point system, what better way to underscore the top wines?

Two seals were given to 26 wines, which is not many considering Italy’s entire production but still a significant number and this makes us very happy. Only seven wines received three seals, five of which had a 99/100 rating and two with the maximum 100/100 points.

Here is the list of the greats in the 2020 pantheon of Italian wines.
