Briccolero 2015 from Chionetti is the last Dolcetto Dogliani produced by “Nonno Quinto” (Grandpa Quinto), a very great wine from a very great man.
Nicola Chionetti is on his own now. The old heart of Nonno Quinto, one of the great winemakers and great men of the Langhe, stopped beating last September and Nonna Germana followed soon after bringing an end to a love story that lasted decades. The last Dogliani from Nonno Quinto is stupendous and it is how we want to remember him.
