Feudo Disisa: oltre il vino c'è un Tesoro di olio

Known for its wines, especially whites, the Sicilian farm Feudo Disisa produces also very good types of oil, among which we propose the Extra Virgin Tesoro.

Another briliant result, as one can expect from a name like this: in fact Disisa in Arab means "splendid". Congratulations to Renato and Maria Paola Di Lorenzo, who always produce quality extra virgin olive oil.

The farm, dating back to Norman times, consists of 400 hectars, mainly covered with vineyards of Alcamo Doc, while the olive groves take up 90 hectars with 9,000 trees. In the last harvest 700 quintals of olives and 140 hectoliters of oil were produced. There are three Extra Virgin: the two Disisa, the "basic" and the one from organic farming, and the very good Tesoro. Two types of "seasoning" oil are then produced: the Citrus Fruit Oils and the Spice oils. The first obtained directly in the mill crushing simultaneously olives and fruits (lemons, mandarins and oranges). The Spice oils are made by infusing hand picked fresh herbs in extra virgin olive oil the necessary time to exhale all their essences (basil, chilly pepper, garlic, mint and rosemary).
